Ode to the Pompous
I know people from Michigan who greatly dislike "flyover people" who, since, they now live in Los Angeles position themselves above their idea of the loser class. Wow, huh? I know people from California who believe anyone from a flyover state is a one toothed troll (I paraphrase). The working class world I was raised in is mostly gone. Collectivism and unaware elitism seems more pronounced and appreciated than the favorable valuation of individualism that I was taught to appreciate. As a dinosaur I'm not rocking the boat or complaining. My non-conforming ass is mostly happy, and I just want to wish everyone who thinks they're better than us "sorry-ass flyover losers" the very same happiness.
